Compensation: $60,000–$90,000 per year, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications, knowledge, skills, and relevant industry experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch, Scheduling & Operational Support: Coordinate daily schedules, drivers, crews, equipment, and service vehicles while matching resources to job requirements and supporting changing operational priorities in collaboration with Supervisors, Superintendents, and management.

  • Heavy Haul & Permitting: Coordinate the transportation of heavy, oversized, and specialized equipment, including required permits and applicable transportation regulations.

  • Logistics & Costing: Calculate material quantities, aggregate tonnage, mileage, travel times, delivery requirements, and  transportation costs.

  • Communication & Customer Service: Serve as a key point of contact for customers and field personnel, communicate quotes, service requirements, and changes, address customer concerns, and  maintain positive and professional working relationships.

  • Fleet & Rental Coordination: Monitor equipment availability and utilization, maintain knowledge of fleet and equipment capabilities,  and coordinate equipment movements, rentals, deliveries, changes, and cancellations.

  • Documentation & Billing: Review timesheets, service reports, rental information, and dispatch records to ensure accurate documentation and support timely invoicing.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Direct dispatch, transportation, construction, or related experience is preferred.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including calculating loads, tonnage, time, quantities, and basic costs.

  • Construction industry knowledge and/or experience is an advantage.

  • Fully bilingual in English and French, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of trucking operations, including heavy equipment, materials, and oversized loads, is an asset.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and company-specific software.

  • Valid Ontario driver's license required.
