Apprentices (Level 1–3): $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and level.
Licensed: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections and repairs on trucks and trailers
Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel-powered units, heavy equipment, and related systems
Perform mechanical repairs on equipment, both in the shop and through field service calls
Install, repair, and maintain equipment attachments
Install and align engines and machinery
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Maintain and repair cooling, lubrication, and drivetrain systems
Perform incidental welding operations as needed
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
Provide guidance and support to apprentices
Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation
Qualifications / Skills
Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical systems, including schematics and diagnostics
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Computer literacy for documentation and diagnostics
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel for fieldwork as needed
Must possess a valid driver’s license
A DZ license is considered a valuable asset
